What is Resin Bound Surfacing?

It is essentially the use of natural coloured aggregate that is bound or bonded(fixed together) with our high-tech UV resistant clear or coloured resin. Once coated over any existing surface, providing it is solid and unbroken, it creates a  firm, attractive and permeable surface.

The difference between the 2 types of finishes is Resin Bound involves mixing the aggregate and resin prior to application and then is trowelled onto the surface creating a smooth like finish. Where as Resin Bond involves applying a coat of the resin to the surface first then scattering the stones creating a more gravel open textured like finish.

One of the main benefits of resin bound surfaces is how it allows rain water to drain easily through the stones and into the ground. Unlike many other conventional surfaces,where water flows across the surface forming pools, puddles and increasing the risk of flooding.
